The Summer Reading Program for youth this year is based on the theme, “Every Hero Has a Story.” Program registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 27.
Weekly story times and activities will be held each Tuesday from June 2 through July 7. Children currently in kindergarten and younger will meet at 9 a.m., while older children will meet at 10 a.m. There will be stories, crafts and snacks each time.
Youth will keep a log of books read, or for younger children, a list of books read to them. Those meeting their summer reading goal, will receive a special reward at the end of the summer.
Reading over the summer is great for relaxation, as well as keeping school skills sharp. One of the best things about the summer reading program is that it’s free and several special programs will be offered.[contact-form-7] ]]>
